Waikanae Baptist Craft Group

This wonderful group of ladies has supported StarLight over many years, providing gifts for Easter and Christmas, decorating gift bags, covering notebooks, wrapping soap, making beanies and toys, and assembling our gift parcels.  The group makes craft packs for teenagers receiving cancer treatment at Palmerston North Hospital.  They contribute items for the welcome packs for Ward 21.  The craft group also provided the funds for an art trolley for Ward 21.  This trolley contains items like adult colouring sheets, markers, coloured pencils, card-making materials and so on.  It means patients can be occupied in the communal areas when there are no staff available to supervise in the occupational therapy room.
